"The Bi(2212) melt textured samples were made by floating zone melting technique... The samples show a high degree of texture along all three axes. Neutron scattering reveals a misorientation along the c-axis of not more than 3°. The sample was cut into a rectangular shape with dimensions 3 mm x 1 mm x 3 mm along a, b, and c, respectively."

Critical current density within the a,b plane (was) obtained from magnetization with a dB/dt of 12 mT/s (corresponding to 0.1 µV/cm)...
