Materials and Properties

PbSr:222; [Pb-Sr(La)-Cu-O]
Material Specification for PbSr:222; [Pb-Sr(La)-Cu-O] Process: Solid State Reaction
Notes: "Samples... were prepared using a precursor SrLaCuO4-δ as Sr and La source. The percursor was prepared from the component metal oxides and carbonates in the appropriate ratios and calcinated for 48 h in air at 1050 °C. After mixing with PbO and Cu2O in the stoichiometric ratios, with a small excess (2%) of PbO to compensate for evaporation, the samples are heated slowly (2 °C/min) in a tube furnace in a stream of nitrogen at 800 °C for 24 h. After regrinding, the samples were pressed into pellets and sintered at 825 °C in nitrogen for 24 h and finally cooled in the oven to room temperature in nitrogen."
