Tl:2212; [Tl-Ba-Ca-Cu-O]
Material Specification for Tl:2212; [Tl-Ba-Ca-Cu-O] Process: Solid State Reaction
Notes: "... single crystals were grown... Powders of BaO, Ca, CuO, and Tl2O3 mixed in appropriate ratio were prebaked at 650 °C for half an hour and then heated to 960 °C for thorough reaction. After slowly cooling to room temperature, crystals of generally...(0.2 x 0.2 x 0.04)mm3 in size were obtained."

Measurement Method: Thermopower method
The authors cite L. Li et al., Europhys. Lett., Vol. 7, 555 (1988), and summarize the procedure as follows. "At very constant reference temperature a voltage difference was recorded in response to a sweeping temperature differential monitored by a constantan-copper thermocouple, which resulted in a satisfactory straight line (except at the superconducting transition) without thermal hysteresis. The slope, normalized to the sensitivity of the constantan-copper thermocouple, gives the thermopower of the sample after correcting the contribution of electric leads."
