Material Specification for Y:123; [Y-Ba-Cu-O]
Process: Solid State Reaction
Notes: "Our films are prepared by codeposition of Y, BaF2, and Cu onto a SrTiO3 (100) substrate, with a post-anneal in wet oxygen at 800°C for 90 min in a tube furnace. The sample is patterned into a meander line (100 mm x 80 µm x 17.5 cm) by standard photolithography and etching with dilute nitric acid (<0.1%). silver contacts are then deposited on the film and annealed under flowing oxygen at 450 °c for an hour."

Measurement Method: Kinetic inductance
"A meander line geometry increases the kinetic inductance relative to the magnetic inductance. The line consists of 26 folds of 0.67 cm long segments spaced by 80 µm... Current and voltage leads connect to the lower contact pads... with additional voltage leads... at the upper pad for diagnostic purposes. A current density from 750 A/cm
2 to 2x10
4 A/cm
2 is applied at 30 kHz; it is monitored by the voltage drop across the standard resistor..."
