Notes: The authors cite J. Blendell et al., Advan. Ceram. Mater., Vol. 2, 512 (1987), and summarize the procedure as follows. "The starting specimen... was prepared by usual powder-ceramic methods... Its oxygen content was determined on a companion specimen by iodine titration. We varied its oxygen content by the following steps: (1) anneal in vacuum at 500 °C for 2 h; (2) heat in flowing oxygen at 600 °C for 1 h, quench to 400 °C and hold for 10 h; (3) heat in flowing oxygen at 935 °C for 10 h, quench to 450 °C, hold for 20 h. We estimated the oxygen content from unit-cell dimensions obtained from X-ray diffraction measurements."
