Materials and Properties

Bi:2223; [Bi(Pb)-Sr-Ca(Sb)-Cu-O]
Material Specification for Bi:2223; [Bi(Pb)-Sr-Ca(Sb)-Cu-O] Process: Solid State Reaction
Notes: "The samples were prepared by solid state reaction of Bi2O3, CuO, SrCO3, CaCO3, PbO and Sb2O5 in air. The mixtures were heated at 830 °C for 15 h. After grinding and pelletizing into disk shape pellets with (a diameter of) 12 mm, they were sintered... Bi1.6Pb0.4Sr2Ca2Cu3Oz... was sintered at 860 °C for 68 h, at 870 °C for 1 h, and then at 850 °C for 12 h followed by furnace cooling. Bi1.9Sb0.1Sr2Ca2Cu3Oz was sintered at 880 °C for 50 h followed by furnace cooling... Bi1.9-xPbxSb0.1Sr2Ca2Cu3Oz (x= 0.1, 0.3, 0.5) were sintered at 860 °C for 60 h followed by furnace cooling."
