Material Specification for Y:123; [Y-Ba-Cu-O]
Process: Solid State Reaction
Notes: "Ceramic materials were prepared from the oxides Y2O3(99.99%) and CuO (99.9%) and the hydroxide Ba(OH)2 (99%). Single crystals were obtained by a grain growth technique. A sample of 2 x 2 x 1 mm3 in size was cut and treated according to the following procedure: (i) annealing in air at T=915 °C during six hours and then cooled down to room temperature, (ii) under an oxygen atmosphere of one bar, the temperature was increased by 5 °C/mn, up to 675 °C, kept one hour and then decreased by 5 °C/h down to 530 °C, 6 °C/h to 490 °C, 5 °C/h to 440 °C, 4 °C/h to 400 °C, 3 °C/h to 340 °C, 2 °C/h to 290 °C and finally the sample was removed from the furnace... a chemical analysis of the single crystal sample was performed and a Sr-content of about 4 at.% was discovered..."

Measurement Method: SQUID magnetometer
"The magnetization measurements M(H) were carried out for applied fields up to 5 T in a Quantum Design SQUID magnetometer. To determine H
we used the method of the trapped magnetization measurements."
Cautions: Evaluated Data
Values were digitized from figures 8 and 9 in the citation, and the values were converted to SI units. The authors indicate an uncertainty of about 20%.
