"Selected experimental determinations of enthalpy increments and heat capacities were fitted in order to obtain a representation of the thermodynamic properties of α-Al2O3... The new values are more accurate and result from a better representation of the experimental values than did the 1982 SRM720 certificate values. ... In the region from 150 K to 900 K the accuracy of the heat capacity is on the order of 0.05%... For temperatures of 900 K to 2200 K, the relative... heat capacity becomes less accurate, the inaccuracy reaching approximately... 1.0% at 2200 K..."
