CH3OH was adsorbed onto Ag(111)-(1x1) at 110 K. The Ag(111) substrate was cleaned by cycles of Ar+ ion bombardment (Ep = 600 eV, Ip = 2.5 microamperes, T = 600 K, time = 20 min) and annealing (T = 800 K, time = 15 min).
