Comment:

HCOOH was adsorbed onto Al(111) at 80 K (multilayers) and heated to 298 K. The substrate was cleaned by cycles of Ar+ ion bombardment and annealing (T = 650 K). The oxygen concentration was 1.8E15 cm-3. The graphitic carbon concentration was 3.6E14 cm-3.
