6 L CH3OH was adsorbed onto NiAl(100)-(1x1) at 120 K and heated to 200 and 300 K. The substrate was cleaned by repeated cycles of Ar+ ion bombardment (Ep = 500 eV) and annealing (T = 1150 K, time = 20 min) and heating (T = 1000 K, pO2 = 1E-7 Torr). FAT mode.
