Comment:
6 L C2H2I2 were adsorbed onto Pd(100) at 90 K and heated to 117 K, 140 K and 159 K. The Pd substrate was cleaned by Ar+ ion bombardment (Ep = 1 keV, j = 2 microamperes cm-2), annealing (T = 1000 K), O2 treatment (p = 5E7 mbar, T = 700 K), and short annealing (T = 1100 K).
