Many people have worked on this database, as indicated in the version history.  NIST particularly wishes to acknowledge the contributions of the late Dr. Charles D. Wagner.   Dr. Wagner, a pioneer in the development and application of X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy, perceived the need for the database and was solely responsible for compiling and evaluating the data in Version 1.0.   These data are a major part of the present database.
