Notes:
a  The molality values were calculated by the compilers.
   b  The solid phases are: A = Sr(CHO2)2•2H2O; B = Ni(CHO2)2.•2H2O.

Method/Apparatus/Procedure:
The system was studied by the isothermal solubility method. Equilibrium was reached in about 48 h. Ni2+ was determined complexometrically at pH 5 using "tetra" as indicator. 1 Sr2+ was also determined complexometrically at pH 10.5-11.0 using Calzein and Thymolblue as indicator. The solid phase composition was determined by the graphic method of Schreinemakers', x-ray diffraction analysis and IR spectroscopy.

Source and Purity of Materials:
The formates of strontium and nickel were prepared by dissolving strontium carbonate and basic nickel carbonate, respectively, in formic acid. The reagents used were "p.a.'' grade.

Estimated Errors:
   Solubility: Not given.
   Temperature: Not given.
