 Method/Apparatus/Procedure:
   A small excess of 1-chloro-2-iodobenzene in water was agitated at room temperature for a period of about 24 hours and then filtered. The saturated filterate solution was diluted and assayed spectrophotometrically. Two independent determinations were carried out.

 Source and Purity of Materials:
   (1) Aldrich commercial grade, used as received.
   (2) Deionized.

 Estimated Errors:
   Solubility: ±10%.
   Temperature: ±1 K.
