The experimental apparatus and method is described elsewhere (Ref. 1). It consists of a system of burette, a mercury manometer and a solution vessel. The mole fraction of the dissolved gas is estimated from the volume change at constant pressure of saturated gas in the burettes, and the mass of the solvent in the solution vessel determined by weighing.The vapor pressure of the solvent was measured and fitted to the following equation:
