Method/Apparatus/Procedure:
Differential scanning calorimeter. Mixtures (1.5 - 2.0 mg) of known concentration were weighed into aluminum pans, which were then crimped to preclude sample loss during the heating process. Solubilities determined by measuring melting points of binary mixtures using a Perkin-Elmer DSC-2 differential scanning calorimeter and scan rate of 5 K/min.
Source and Purity of Materials:
(1) 99+ %, Aldrich Chemical Company, Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA, was used as received.
(2) 99 %, Aldrich Chemical Company, was vacuum-distilled before use.
