Method/Apparatus/Procedure:
An excess amount of tribromomethane with water was introduced into 30 ml centrifuge tubes that were closed with a screw cap. The tubes were rotated for 3 days inside a temperature controlled chamber at 10, 20, and 30oC, respectively. Samples  were taken from the tubes and analyzed by gas chromatography after liquid-liquid extraction. The experiments were carried out in duplicates.
