Method/Apparatus/Procedure:
The mutual solubility between trichloromethane and water was determined by titration from a microburet until turbidity appeared. The end point of the titration, when turbidity first appeared, was determined with an accuracy of 0.3 - 0.5 %. The titration of the solution  took place in a thermostat bath at 20oC. The caprolactam-water-trichloromethane ternary system was also studied.
