Method/Apparatus/Procedure:
An excess quantity of trichloromethane was added to water and stirred vigorously for 24 hours. After settling at 25oC for 48 hours, the solution was extracted with cyclohexane. The samples were analyzed using an Aminco-Bowman spectrophotofluorometer.  A detailed description of the method has been reported elsewhere (ref. 1).

   (1) Aldrich Chemicals, highest grade, used as received.
   (2) Double distilled.

Estimated Errors:
   Solubility: Not specified.
   Temperature: ± 0.2 K (compiler).
