Method/Apparatus/Procedure:
The method involved repeated equilibrations of nitrogen with seawater sample containing trichloromethane. The sample was shaken vigorously at the required temperatures in a constant temperature bath for 30 minutes. The equilibrated gas phase was then injected into a  gas chromatograph. The experiments were performed at least three times at 10, 15, 20, and 25oC, each experiment involving about six equilibrations.
