Method/Apparatus/Procedure:
A 1 to 15 volume ratio mixture of heavy water and trichloromethane was introduced into an equilibration flask and then lowered into a water thermostat. The assembly was shaken mechanically for about 90 minutes at constant temperature. The amount of heavy water in  the organic phase was determined by a modified Karl Fischer titration method. The determination was done in triplicate. The description was taken from a secondary source (ref. 1). The original report is no longer available.

Source and Purity of Materials:
   (1) Source and purity not given.
   (2) Source not given. Purified and dried before use.

Estimated Errors:
   Solubility: ± 0.6 x 10-4 avg. dev.
   Temperature: ± 0.05 K.
