Method/Apparatus/Procedure:
The measurements involved repeated equilibrations of nitrogen with a water sample containing tetrachloromethane. The mixture was shaken vigorously at the required temperature in a constant temperature bath for 30 minutes. The equilibrated gas phase was then injected into a gas chromatograph for analysis. The experiments were performed at least three times at 10, 15, 20, and 25
o
C. Each run at constant temperature involved about six equilibrations.
