Method/Apparatus/Procedure:
An all-glass apparatus was used. Good stirring was provided during equilibration.
The authors measured the concentration of CO
2
in both phases at equilibrium. They give the distribution coefficient as the volume ratio.
The authors also give data for the distribution coefficient of amines in water and in different solvents.
