Method/Apparatus/Procedure:
Attainment of the equilibrium was checked by the constancy of CO
2
content in 3-5 subsequent samples of gas after saturation of the solution. The concentration of carbon dioxide was determined by titration. Detailed description of the technique is given in Ref. 1.

was allowed to pass through the vessels with NaHCO

, glass beads, glass wool, and distilled water.
