 Method/Apparatus/Procedure:
   The solubility was determined by mixing definite quantities of 1,1,2,2-terachloroethane with a large volume of water and measuring the volume of the undissolved 1,1,2,2-terachloroethane. 

Source and Purity of Materials:
   (1) Commercial grade, further purified by washing with a NaCHO3 solution and redistilled.
   (2) Distilled.
