Method/Apparatus/Procedure:
An excess of 1,1,2,2-tetrachloroethane was added to a stainless steel tube containing water and the tube was sealed. It was allowed to equilibrate during shaking for a week at 25 °C. After centrifugation, the sample was analyzed for  radioactivity using a liquid scintillation counter. The solubility determination was repeated at least twice for each sample and the analysis was done in duplicate.
