Method/Apparatus/Procedure:
1,1,2-Trichloroethane, while held in a water-bath thermostat, was titrated with water until the appearance of a slight turbidity, which indicated the limiting solubility concentration. At the same time, the refractive index and density of the  solutions were determined. Similar measurements were made by titration of water with 1,1,2-trichloroethane.

Source and Purity of Materials:
   (1) Carbide and Carbon Chemicals Co., redistilled before use, b. p. = 113.3 °C.
   (2) Distilled.

Estimated Errors:
   Solubility: Not specified.
   Temperature: ± 0.1 K.
