Method/Apparatus/Procedure:
A saturated aqueous solution of 1,2-dibromoethane was filtered and samples of 50, 100, and 200 μL were diluted in a 0.1 M tetraethylammonium perchlorate aqueous solution. A cathodic voltammogram on the HMDE was recorded. Quantization was done by standard addition using 0.01 M solute in ethanol as the standard.
Source and Purity of Materials:
(1) Fisher Scientific Co., E173 certified, 99.5 % pure. Used as received.
(2) Distilled.and further purified using a Millipore Milliq system.
