Method/Apparatus/Procedure:
A weighted amount of 1,2-dichloropropane was mixed with 1000 g water in a bottle and immersed in a water thermostat bath. The bottle was placed on a shaker and shaken until no more liquid droplets remained undissolved. The concentration of the 1,2-dichloropropane in water was determined by a Zeiss water interferometer. One or more samples were syphoned out for the solubility determination. The German translation also has been published.
