Notes:
   Table 1  a  Critical opalescence

Method/Apparatus/Procedure:
The synthetic method (Alekseev1) was used. Ampoules containing mixtures were suspended from a vertical roller linked to a shaking machine, which switched on at definite time intervals. Water bath temperature was controlled with a proportional temperature regulator and checked with mercury thermometers. Close to a phase transition, heating or cooling was effected at 0.03 °h–1. Solubility temperature of the liquid phase was determined both with heating and cooling, and the average taken.

Source and Purity of Materials:
   (1) Source not specified; pure grade reagent; dried and twice distilled on a packed column of 20 theoretical plates; no impurities detectable by gas chromatography.
   (2) Source not specified, pure grade reagent; dried and distilled under vacuum; 99.5 mole % purity.
   (3) Source not specified, analytical purity; purified by recrystallization; m. p. = 80.2 °C.

Estimated Errors:

   Temperature: ± 0.02 K for liquid phase and ± 0.03 K for solid phase.
