3.3. Tri-positive Metal Formates

In this section the data for the water solubility of the selected formates are presented. With one exception, yttrium formate, there is only one published report for the water solubility for each of the metal formates listed above. None of these reports presents a complete thermogram. In many of the reports only a few data points are given. The reports dealing with the solubility of yttrium formate each present only one data point and several of these are single solubility values taken from studies of three-component systems (located in Sec. 2 of this volume). Because of the scarcity of water solubility data no critical evaluation can be made of the solubility values that are reported, nor can any recommendations be made about the validity of the values that have been published. Therefore, the pages that follow in this section merely present the solubility data as they have been published.
