Method/Apparatus/Procedure:
Ultraviolet/visible spectrophotometer and centrifugal automatic particle analyzer. Excess solute and solvent were allowed to equilibrate under vigorous agitation at ambient temperature (presumed) Sample was centrifuged at 3000 rpms to remove solid particles in suspension. Samples of 2 mLs of saturated liquid were then removed and diluted quantatively for subsequent spectrophotometric analysis. Attainment of equilibrium was verified by repetitive measurements taken at 24 hour intervals.
Source and Purity of Materials:
(1) 98 %, Aldrich Chemical Company, Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA, was used as received from manufacturer.
(2) ACS Grade, 99.5 %, Fisher Scientific, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA, was used as received.
