Method/Apparatus/Procedure:
A supersaturated solution of tetrachloromethane in water was agitated for two hours at 20
o
C. After storing for 2 hours the water phase was filtered through Whatman no. 2 filter paper before analysis. The concentration of tetrachloromethane in w ater was determined by gas chromatography or by ultraviolet spectroscopy.
