The isothermal method was used. The methods of analysis are not described. The composition of the solid phases was determined by the Schreinemakers method.
Source and Purity of Materials:
The salt was prepared from pure formic acid and magnesium carbonate or hydroxide; purity is not specified. Commercial formic acid was used.
Estimated Errors:
Temperature: The temperature was controlled to within ± 0.01 °C. Nothing is said about the solubility values.
