Method/Apparatus/Procedure:
The method used was as described elsewhere.1 Samples of varying composition and 4 g total weight were sealed in glass ampoules and then immersed in a thermostated bath equipped with a platinum resistance thermometer. The ampoule contents were continuously mixed by a rolling glass bead inside the ampoule, which was swung mechanically. The miscibility temperature was determined by repeatedly observing the disappearance/appearance of turbidity when heating or cooling.
